WAVERLY, Ohio — Waverly City Schools will operate on a two-hour delay Tuesday, Oct. 13, following a reported threat involving the school district.
District officials announced the delay Tuesday morning, citing a threat reported to the schools.
The district did not immediately release details about the nature of the threat or whether law enforcement is investigating.
The announcement comes as Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center in neighboring Ross County reported another bomb threat Tuesday morning. Authorities cleared that campus following a building sweep, allowing classes to proceed on schedule.
It is not known whether the threats reported in Pike and Ross counties are connected.
Waverly City Schools has not announced any additional changes to Tuesday’s schedule beyond the two-hour delay.
This is a developing story. J News Network will provide updates as more information becomes available.
