COLUMBUS, Ohio — Seven people, including five children, were injured Friday morning in a three-vehicle crash on the city’s Northeast Side, Columbus police said.
The crash happened at about 7:15 a.m. at Morse Road and Sundance Drive, Columbus police Sgt. James Fuqua said.
Medics took the five children to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in critical condition, and two adults were taken to another hospital in critical condition, Fuqua said. As of noon, three children and one adult remained in critical condition, and the rest were in stable condition, he said.
Police closed Morse Road in both directions at the scene for a few hours while detectives investigated, Fuqua said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
