MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio — A single-story home was destroyed in a fire early Sunday in the 2900 block of Pletcher Hill Road, according to the Roseville Volunteer Fire Department.
The department said firefighters from Roseville, Harrison Township and Crooksville were dispatched just after midnight on Oct. 25 for a residential structure fire. Engine 1301 arrived first and found the single-story residence fully involved in fire and already collapsed, according to the department.
Because of driveway conditions, Harrison Township’s brush truck was used to reach the residence while Engine 1301 supplied water, the department said. Crews from all three departments worked together to bring the fire under control, and Harrison Township Chief 502 established command at the scene, according to the department.
No injuries were reported, according to the department.
The fire remains under investigation, and the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office has been contacted to assist, the department said. Roseville units S1301 and Command 1301 also responded, according to the department.
The department’s post did not state a cause for the fire or say whether anyone was in the home when it started.
