Elon Musk says he plans to give one SpaceX share to every child in the United States next year, but his announcement did not explain who would qualify or how the shares would be distributed.

The post came a day after artificial intelligence company Anthropic announced a proposed Public Benefit Fund. Anthropic said it would commit 5% of its shares to the fund, subject to stockholder approval, with the possibility of additional shares as the company grows, according to its announcement.

SpaceX shares began trading on Nasdaq in June, according to the company’s IPO announcement.
