ATHENS, Ohio — Two precautionary boil advisories are in effect for parts of Athens through Friday afternoon, the city said in alerts issued Wednesday evening.
One advisory covers the Longview Tank area — Longview Heights and surrounding streets, including Pleasant Hill Road, Pomeroy Road, Ridgeview Drive, Parkway Drive, Frum Road and U.S. Route 33 South, among others. That advisory has been in effect since 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14.

A second advisory covers Rock Riffle Road. It was issued at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Both advisories are scheduled to expire at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, the city said.
