THORNVILLE, Ohio — A 64-year-old woman is in the Fairfield County Jail after a drug task force searched a Thornville home that investigators say had been under scrutiny for months, the South Central Ohio Major Crimes Unit said.
Members of the unit, joined by the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office and the Lancaster Police Department, carried out the search warrant Monday, Oct. 12, at 8810 Drums Bottom Road in Thornville, the unit said in a statement.
Christine Ann Peters was taken into custody at the home and faces four counts of trafficking in drugs and four counts of possession of controlled substances, according to the statement. She remained held in the Fairfield County Jail.
Detectives reported seizing about 467 grams of methamphetamine, about 30.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and roughly $14,712 in cash, the unit said. A 2009 Ford Mustang GT was also taken.
The case remains under investigation, the unit said. Anyone with information about suspicious activity can reach local law enforcement or the Major Crimes Unit at 740-653-5224, and tips may be left anonymously.
