Law enforcement conducting sweeps at main campus and Adult Education site
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center closed two campuses Monday after receiving bomb threats, school officials said.
The threats affected the district’s main campus and its Adult Education campus on Industrial Drive. Pickaway-Ross officials said the threats were similar to others reported at schools across the region Monday morning.
Law enforcement officers are conducting sweeps of both buildings.
“Out of an abundance of caution and to allow law enforcement to complete thorough sweeps, both locations are closed today, Monday, October 5,” the administration said in a statement.
School officials said student and staff safety remains their highest priority.
Pickaway-Ross said it will continue communicating with students and families and will provide additional information regarding Tuesday’s schedule as it becomes available.
The investigation into the threats is ongoing.
