CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Homeland Credit Union has picked up two national honors for its mortgage work, including the top individual award given by its mortgage partner, the credit union announced.
Mishion Payne, Homeland’s vice president of lending, received the Tim Mislansky Belief Award at the recent myCU Mortgage Partner Conference. Homeland described the award as the highest individual honor myCU Mortgage presents, given to professionals who show dedication, service and leadership in their work and in their communities.
The credit union was also named Marketer of the Year by myCU Mortgage. According to Homeland, the award cited its Dream Home Mortgage program, launched in May, which lets qualified borrowers buy with no down payment and no private mortgage insurance requirement, along with its participation in myCU’s Direct-to-Member marketing campaign and its low closing-cost home equity line of credit offerings.
“These honors reflect the dedication our team brings to helping members achieve their financial goals,” said Shayne Poe, CEO of Homeland Credit Union.
“Mishion embodies everything we value at Homeland. Her commitment to serving members, giving back to the community, and helping families achieve the dream of homeownership makes her exceptionally deserving of the Tim Mislansky Belief Award,” Poe said.
Homeland said its lending team handles first-home purchases, refinancing and home equity lending, and that residents seeking mortgage guidance can reach the team at 740-775-3331.
