MANSFIELD, Ohio — The METRICH Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, conducted a warrant roundup Tuesday, Oct. 20, targeting 10 people indicted for drug trafficking in the Mansfield area, according to a METRICH news release posted Wednesday by the Mansfield Police Department.
The release said the roundup grew out of a lengthy investigation into drug-trafficking activity and that the people targeted were linked to Lamar Johnson, Rashad Keith and Cy Ison, who the release said are already incarcerated on related charges.
During the operation, investigators arrested Ryan Boyd and executed a search warrant at 86 Dawson Ave. in Mansfield, according to the release. Investigators seized crack cocaine, materials used in the manufacture of crack cocaine, a currency-counting machine and $14,327 in cash, the release said.
The release named 10 people charged in connection with the investigation: Ryan Boyd, Hendrick Bradley, Andrea Collier, Daquan Hilory, Antonio Hobbs, Thomas Ison, Torme Johnson, Darius Jones, Jesse Laster and Dewaun West-Mack. The charges include trafficking in cocaine and trafficking in fentanyl at various felony levels, according to the release.
Two of the 10, Andrea Collier and Antonio Hobbs, remain at large, according to the release, which asked anyone who knows where they are to call 1-866-4WANTED.
“This enforcement action demonstrates the continued commitment of the METRICH Enforcement Unit and law enforcement partners to disrupting drug trafficking operations and improving public safety throughout Richland County,” the release said. The unit said it will continue to investigate people involved in distributing illegal drugs and encouraged residents to report suspected drug activity.
The investigation remains ongoing, according to the release. All individuals charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
