CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Majestic Theatre’s marquee restoration is complete, and the historic sign will be lit for the first time on Saturday, Oct. 24, the theatre announced Tuesday.
The theatre posted photos of the finished marquee work Tuesday afternoon. The marquee and its arch over East Second Street are the downtown landmark’s signature feature.

The theatre began as the Masonic Opera House in 1876, took the Majestic name in 1915, and is operated today as a nonprofit performing arts venue hosting live performances, community events and classic movie nights.
