ZALESKI, Ohio — The search for a 78-year-old Zaleski man missing since Saturday continued Monday, with the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office reporting no confirmed sightings of Glenn Stout.
The sheriff’s office said in an update Monday afternoon that a large-scale search effort remains under way for Stout, who was reported missing Saturday.
Search organizers with the Moonville Rail Trail Association said Stout was last seen at the Vinton County Fairgrounds at 4 p.m. Saturday. The sheriff’s office has not confirmed that sighting; the office originally reported Stout was last seen at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The association asked residents in the search area to check unlocked sheds and outbuildings.
Stout is described as about 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 240 pounds. The sheriff’s office said he is not believed to be driving, is known to frequent the Moonville Rail Trail area, and may have dementia and could be in danger.
Anyone who has seen Stout or has information about where he may be is asked to call the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office at 740-596-5242 or call 911.
