WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — Drivers and pedestrians heading through downtown Washington Court House will have to find a different way around on Tuesday as utility crews repair a gas leak, the city said.
CenterPoint Energy workers will close News Plaza beginning at 7 a.m. today to complete the repair, according to a statement the city posted on Facebook. The plaza, which runs between Court Street — the road that fronts the Fayette County Courthouse — and the municipal parking lot, will stay closed until the work is done.
The city did not say when the plaza is expected to reopen. Officials asked people to use alternate routes and to plan for delays while crews are on scene.
