PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — Community members will host a Scioto County Commissioners candidate debate Saturday, Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. at the 14th Street Community Center.
A majority of candidates in the upcoming general election have confirmed attendance. The debate will feature Democratic, Republican and independent candidates. Audience members will have the opportunity to submit questions for the candidates to answer.
The debate will be moderated by Drew Carter and Bill Shope. Light snacks and refreshments will be available. The event is free and open to the public.
UPDATE: We are told some of the Republican candidates have withdrawn from the debate. We will keep you updated.
